Our Well & Being at Willow Stream Intentional Living team, led by our in-house physican Dr. Diane Downing, MD, is dedicated to your health and well being. Through private consultations that address your individual health goals, our expert coaches and guides create a lifestyle plan tailored to your needs. We also offer group consultations, guidance and encouragement in a range of services and activities.

Our team is dedicated to ensuring that your Well & Being experience is nothing less than extraordinary. Prior to your arrival, our Intentional Living Guides contact you to discuss your personal goals and preferences and create a customized menu of services to ensure the ultimate experience. Once you’re here, you can meet with your Intentional Living Guide to discuss your progress and make adjustments to your schedule.

Led by Diane Downing, MD, a graduate of the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine Fellowship, a team of experts in exercise physiology, nutrition, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), and mind-body therapies focus on getting to the root of the problem, not just treating or masking symptoms.

MEET OUR DOCTORS

Tieraona Low Dog, MD 
Chief Medical Officer of Well & Being 

Dr. Tieraona Low Dog’s extensive career in studying natural medicine and its role in modern health care began more than 30 years ago. Prior to earning her medical degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, she studied and practiced massage therapy, midwifery, herbal medicine and martial arts. Her many honors of distinction in recognition of her work include the Martina de la Cruz medal for her work with indigenous medicines (1998), Time magazine’s “Innovator in Complementary and Alternative Medicine” (2001), Bioneer’s award for “Outstanding Contribution to Medicine” (2002), the Burt Kallman Scientific Award (2007) and NPR’s People’s Pharmacy Award for Excellence in Research and Communication for the Public Health (2010).

Dr. Low Dog is the Chief Medical Director for Well & Being and also serves as the Fellowship Director for the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine, where she also holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine.

Diane Downing, MD 
Medical Director of Well & Being at Willow Stream
Dr. Downing received both her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Arizona in Tucson. She completed her family practice residency training at the University of Arizona as well. Additional post-graduate training includes an Integrative Family Medicine Fellowship and a two year fellowship with the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine. She has worked in primary care and more recently as a staff physician at Canyon Ranch Health Resort and Spa in Tucson, AZ.

Dr. Downing’s professional interests include women’s health, preventive medicine, cardiovascular health and integrative medicine. She has training in botanical medicine, nutrition, energy medicine, mind/body therapies and lifestyle modification as approaches to disease management and prevention. She is a certified Reiki practitioner and has training in counter strain osteopathic manipulation.
