The Readers’ Choice Awards names “the best” hotels, resorts, cruise lines, islands and cities around the world. Hotels are rated on criteria to achieve an overall score including location, overall design, rooms, food & dining and service.
At The Fairmont Olympic Hotel, its engaging staff, like Regena at the Concierge Desk, Danny and Bill at the Door, Michael in The Terrace Lounge, David in Shuckers and Susie in Housekeeping, have been at the hotel for more than 22 years, making guests feel at home with personalized service. Located downtown, steps from Seattle’s arts, theatre, and shops, not to mention the iconic Pike Place Market, guests can walk or make use of the complimentary town car service to their favorite downtown destinations. If a culinary adventure is on their agenda, guests are welcome at one of the hotel’s restaurants, The Georgian or Shuckers, featuring the Pacific Northwest’s freshest and organic ingredients. The hotel utilizes feedback from repeat and loyal guests regarding several facets of the hotel. This feedback will be incorporated into an upcoming multi-million dollar guest room renovation, starting early 2008. The renovation will introduce a new palate of colors and textures that will complement the sumptuous, timeless and classical ambiance of the hotel.
Results of the Readers’ Choice Awards are derived from the largest independent poll of consumers' preferences, second in size only to the U.S. Census. With over 28,000 travelers voting this year, the lists show an even greater global variety and depth.
Other Fairmont Hotels & Resorts properties featured prominently on the Readers’ Choice Awards, include Fairmont Chateau Laurier, Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac, The Savoy (London), Fairmont Kea Lani, Fairmont Orchid, Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, Fairmont Banff Spring, Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu, Fairmont Dubai and Fairmont Mayakoba.
