Whale of a Time Package

The Fairmont Olympic Hotel has ventured into the wild with an eco-package that combines both education and adventure. Designed to provide guests with a unique and memorable experience in and around the Puget Sound, the Whale of a Time package features the best of local wildlife and scenery.  For every package sold, The Fairmont Olympic will donate $100 USD to The Whale Museum.

Package Includes:

• Two night stay in a spacious Executive Suite             
• American Breakfast for two in The Georgian (or In-Room Dining)           
• Sedan transportation to and from the Kenmore Air floatplane terminal                
• Scenic roundtrip floatplane ride across the Puget Sound to Friday Harbor in the San Juan Islands                
• Admission and self-guided tour for two at The Whale Museum (guided tours are available for $75)
• Lunch for two at Downriggers, a local Friday Harbor restaurant                
• A guided whale-watching excursion by boat from Friday Harbor     
• Complimentary valet parking                
• Adopt-an-Orca Package which includes:
  • A personalized parchment adoption certificate bearing the whale's name, the whale's personal biography and Matrilineal Genealogy Chart of the Southern Resident Community                
  • Subscription of the museum's award winning newsletter Cetus                 
  • An individual Whale Museum Membership, which includes free admission to the museum and 10% discount on museum store and catalog purchases

Availability:

This offer is available April 19 through October 5, 2008 only. This package requires a 72-hour advance notice for booking. This package cannot be booked online. Reservations may only be made by calling 1(800) 223-8772 or 1(800) 840-8129.

Rates:

Rates for this package start at $1,599 USD plus tax for two people. Additional nights may be added starting at $425 USD. The Fairmont Olympic Hotel requires 72-hours notice for cancellation. Cancellations made without 72-hours notice will be subject to full charges.

Please Note:
The trip to the San Juan Islands is an all day excursion lasting approximately 10 hours. This offer is not eligible for Airline Miles.
