Swirl, Sniff and Sip (aka Wine 101) led by Wine Concierge, Jamie Herbison will be held every Saturday morning from 10:00-10:45a at the resort’s Big 3 Wine Bar. Available on a complimentary basis to Fairmont President’s Club Premier and Platinum level members and on a fee basis for resort guests and locals, the personalized, weekly seminar promises tobothinform and entertain. (And yes, there will be wine)!
Swirl, Sniff, Sip (and Swallow) is a step by step guide to getting the most out of your wine tasting experience. Topics covered in the weekly sessions will include: Dirt Matters, Why Swish, Three Sip Rule and to Know More You Have to Drink More.
Other Wine Director led packages and programs which will soon be unveiled include Women on Wine, Wine & Song and Food and Wine Pairing Classes.

Jamie Herbison, recently appointed Wine Concierge, at the iconic Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn is passionate about wine and he loves sharing that passion. Former radio morning show jock, Jamie believes education can remove some of the mystery associated with wine tasting and maximize your enjoyment of Wine Country. Jamie’s wine experience began with sweet German wines at family dinners. He graduated to “cheap and cheerful” quickly moving on as his passion for wine and food grew beyond being a simple hobby. Wine education was the next step. Jamie currently holds an Advanced Certificate from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. He also spent a season as a Wine Educator at Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa. When it comes to wine, Jamie’s motto is “You can’t know more unless you drink more.”
