New York – May 23, 2011 – The Plaza is pleased to announce its new ‘Seeing Central Park’ package, in celebration of the start of summer and its ongoing commitment to conserving one of the city’s most iconic treasures. A stroll through Central Park is a quintessential New York experience that should not be missed, and beginning this month, The Plaza offers its guests an exclusive, private tour of the Park with the Central Park Conservancy’s premier historian and photographer, Sara Cedar Miller. Tours will be customized to the guests’ interests and passions, with focuses on history, film, art & architecture, gardens & nature, behind-the-scenes operations, romantic destinations or family attractions, among others.
Central Park has been the backyard for The Plaza Hotel since the iconic property originally opened in 1907. As the home to the annual New York City Philharmonic, Shakespeare in the Park, multiple marathons and even a zoo, Central Park continues to capture the energy and originality of the City.
The ‘Seeing Central Park’ package includes:
