Fairmont Vancouver Airport Wins Best Airport Hotel in North America for Sixth Year

Vancouver, BC Tuesday, March 14, 2017 For the sixth time in seven years, Fairmont Vancouver Airport has been awarded Best Airport Hotel in North America at the 2017 World Airport Awards held today in Amsterdam, Netherlands. 

The 2017 World Airport Awards are the most prestigious accolades for the aviation industry and a global benchmark of airport excellence. The 2017 awards are based upon results from guest surveys which assessed hotel standards across a wide range of categories, including but not limited to the overall hotel experience, noteworthy facilities, food quality and in-room amenities. The awards' survey period operated from July 2016 to February 2017 and counted on the participation of over 1.84 million customers of air travel and 235 airport hotels in more than 65 countries worldwide.
