Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located inside Vancouver International Airport (YVR), above the US Departures terminal.
Directions from YVR Domestic Arrivals Area:
Upon leaving the Domestic luggage carousel, go north towards the escalators and up one level to Domestic Departures.
Turn right at the top of the escalator and follow the signs to the International Terminal Departures.
Proceed through USA departures hall towards the sign that says 'USA Baggage Claim'.
Access to the Fairmont Vancouver Airport is on the right hand side via stairs, escalator or elevator.
Directions from the International Arrivals Area:
Upon leaving the International Arrivals take the elevator up to Level 3 - Departures Level.
Exit the elevator and turn right. Continue straight towards USA Departures.
Fairmont Vancouver Airport is located across the street from the Canada Line station, a light rapid transit system that operates throughout greater Vancouver. Travel time to/from downtown Vancouver (Waterfront station) is approximately 25 minutes. Tickets can be purchased at any Canada Line station.

Enjoyed the well appointed room and easily accessed hotel for a night prior to our departure from YVR early the next morning.
A stopover… food, room and service were all good.
This was overnight layover … Toronto to Hawaii. Perfect stopover.

A nice way to start a vacation
We fell in love with the Fairmont last year. Our experience then was top notch. This time, the attention to detail was lacking. Upon checking in, I specifically asked for a room that wasn’t next to the kitchen. The desk agent assured me that the room was not. We were given a room right next to the lounge where you could hear dishes clanging throughout the evening and next day. I asked for a different room but none were available. The beds were hastily made and looked lumpy instead of tightly drawn to perfection. There was no cookie, no personalized welcome note, no personalized tv screen greeting. The snack mix was full of crumbs and peanut casings. It seemed like they poured the bottom of one dish on top of the new batch. We love this hotel for the runway view. Our windows were incredibly dirty.

Everyone was very pleasant from the Valet to check in and restaurant servers. Very clean. Nothing like waking up and watching planes take off.
The room was extremely comfortable, especially the bed and linens. We were exhausted after a long day of air travel and airports.

We loved the room. It was spacious. We arrived late and decided to stay at the Fairmont to catch an early flight. I called and requested a wake up call for 6:30 am. At 6:50 am I woke up and. We made a mad scramble to get dressed and gather our things because our flight was boarding at 7:29 am. We had to go through security and check our bags. We made the flight but just barely. It was human error. He forgot to enter the call into the system. We were gifted $50 dining from the night before.
