    WASHINGTON MONUMENT 

    George Washington is widely regarded as the “Father of Our Nation.” He devoted his life to public service and helped establish the foundation of the United States as the Commander of the Continental Army and first president of the United States.

    In commemoration of his service and achievements, the Washington Monument, located in the National Mall at 15th St, SW in Washington DC, stands as a symbol of his strength and vision.

    Visitors can tour the George Washington Monument as well as see exhibits about George Washington and his life from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., daily, excluding July 4th and December 25. The last scheduled tour is at 4:45 p.m.

    Tours are free. Tickets are available on a first come basis and one person may pick-up six tickets at a time. The kiosk for tour tickets opens at 8:30 a.m. and is located at the base of the monument.
