ROOFTOP CHAPEL & WOODLANDS TERRACE
Located on-site at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, the Woodlands Terrace with its Rooftop Chapel offers a unique destination for wedding ceremonies year round.
Woodlands Terrace
Experience all that Whistler has to offer from the inspiring vantage point of the Woodlands Rooftop Terrace. The Terrace boasts 360-degree views of the surrounding mountains and provides a romantic setting for 200-300 guests.
May to October
During our spring, summer and falls months, the Woodlands Terrace features a permanent Marquis tent and can seat up to 300 guests for a seated breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Our tent is removed during the winter months allowing for a ceremony site in a beautiful snow-covered bliss.
To reserve the Woodlands Terrace, a $6,000 rental fee plus a minimum of $20,000 in food and beverage (prior to taxes and gratuities) is required.
The Rooftop Chapel
Recite your vows against the backdrop of evergreen trees and towering peaks in one of Whistler's most captivating venues.
During our fall and winter months, our tent is removed and the maximum capacity inside the Chapel is 18 people, standing room only. Gas fireplaces are lit to provide warmth and add ambiance of your special celebration.
Should you wish to be adventurous and provide your guests with a true 'winter wedding experience' we can seat up to 50 guests outside the Chapel.
Rooftop Chapel Ceremony Rental: $1,000
During the summer months, The Chapel is available only from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
BALLROOMS
Our Banquet Floor features three distinct ballrooms, with finely appointed decor- The Empress, The Frontenac and The Macdonald Ballrooms.
Capacities* for each ballroom are as follows:
Empress Ballroom - up to 200 guests
Frontenac Ballroom - up to 350 guests
Macdonald Ballroom - up to 600 guests
*Capacity with head table, dance floor & music area.
To reserve the Empress Ballroom, a $3,600 rental fee plus a minimum of $20,000 in food and beverage (prior to taxes and gratuities) is required.

Ballrooms may be booked up to 10 months in advance or during long-weekends. Please note, a guest room block may be required based on hotel availability.

Wildflower Restaurant

The Wine Room
Embraced by The Wine Room’s signature stone fireplace and smooth cherry wood wine cabinets, classically rustic décor creates a refined atmosphere for exceptional British Columbia cuisine.
Evening dining with that special touch –warm, personal and perfectly orchestrated to match your special occasion – features fresh, local and Pacific Rim ingredients. A memorable dining experience complimented by an extensive wine section highlighted with internationally acclaimed BC wines.
For a buyout of The Wine Room, rental of $1,000 and a minimum $4,500 in food and beverage revenue (prior to taxes and gratuities) is required.
The Wine Room can accommodate up to 50 guests for a seated event.
On its own, The Wine Room's Grand Fireplace is a perfect backdrop for an intimate ceremony. Available in the afternoons, this romantic venue can accommodate up to 30 ceremony guests - a rental fee of $1,000 is applicable. (Please note, a furniture removal fee may also apply.)
Private Dining Room
Deserving of more exclusive surroundings, celebrate your gathering in The Wine Room’s private dining room. Opulent settings. Rich décor. Spectacular scenery. Nestled at the foot of Blackcomb Mountain, this private dining room accommodates up to 18 guests - a rental fee of $500 is applicable. No minimum food and beverage required.
For a completely private event, a combination of The Wildflower and The Wine Room can accommodate up to 150 guests for a seated event.
For this buyout option*, rental of $3,000 and a minimum $30,000 in food and beverage revenue (prior to taxes and gratuities) is required.
*Due to business volumes, the combination of The Wildflower and The Wine Room is not available during Christmas holidays (December 20- January 5) or Saturday nights in January, February and March.
The Chalet at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Golf Course
Looking for a winter wonderland wedding destination? Picture your reception in The Chalet (in summer, the home of the Fairmont Chateau Whistler Clubhouse). Floor to ceiling windows. Twinkling lights. The warm welcome of a crackling fire from the blanket of snow outside.
For a nostalgic touch, horse drawn sleigh rides can be arranged directly from The Chalet. Sleigh rides are operational from mid December to beginning of March (weather dependent).
For a private event at The Chalet, a rental fee of $1,000 and a minimum $2,500 in food and beverage revenue (prior to taxes and gratuities) is required. An additional buyout of all sleigh rides that evening could apply.
HOSPITALITY SUITES
Hospitality suites are located on the 3rd floor of the hotel and feature full bathrooms, a wet bar and windows affording a comfortable location for Bridal Ready rooms or family rooms.
