Fairmont Chateau Whistler Proud to Honor Leader of the Year - Director of Front Office Wins Company Wide Award

Whistler BC, March 1, 2012 - Once a year submissions are made and a selection committee is formed to recognize one outstanding leader in the Fairmont Hotels & Resorts community. With so many accomplished employees to choose from the task is never easy, but this year the honour of Leader of Year was given to a truly remarkable individual, Chaz Ibrahim, Director of Front Office at The Fairmont Chateau Whistler. 

Chaz has been a part of the Fairmont team since August 2006, moving up to Whistler to join The Fairmont Chateau Whistler’s front office division in December of 2009. His strong leadership skills were noticed from day one in Whistler and Chaz was promoted from Front Office Manager to Director of Front Office in May 2011.  

“Chaz is a remarkable individual and leader here in Fairmont. Never one to shy away from a challenge, and always the first to volunteer his assistance when needed.” said Norman Mastalir, Managing Director of The Fairmont Chateau Whistler, of Chaz’s esteemed accomplishment. “The hotel is constantly inundated with guest letters thanking Chaz for making their stay in Whistler a memorable one.”

Chaz is the living example of the Fairmont values both at work and in the Whistler community. He is exceptionally supportive, encouraging, and holds each member of his team to the same high standard that he holds himself. He is an active committee member of the Whistler Hotels Loss Prevention

Association and is the Chateau’s liaison with the Whistler RCMP. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler is truly honoured to have such an inspiring leader for both colleagues and guests to learn and benefit from.
