Whistler BC, October 13, 2011 – Preparing your festive dinner can be a daunting task, but this holiday season let Fairmont be your guide in creating an unforgettable family feast.  With the launch of Holiday Cooking 101, guests can learn how to prepare a sumptuous holiday meal and select the best wine to go along with their turkey dinner. This one-of-a kind weekend taking place November 18th to November 20th, will give guests the opportunity to have a hands-on learning experience with the Executive Chef and Sommelier, and take home new tips and ideas on how to create the perfect festive meal for their family.

The weekend kicks off with a welcome reception Friday evening, where guests can enjoy tasty appetizers and have the opportunity to meet with Executive Chef, Vincent Stufano. Saturday begins with a hearty breakfast in the Wildflower, before guests move into cooking class for the remainder of the morning. With all eyes on Vincent Stufano at the front of the class, guests will be able to participate in an interactive food demonstration where festive appetizers, mains and desserts will be prepared. Donning their chef hat and apron, guests will then be able to try their hand at carving a freshly roasted turkey, before sitting down to a holiday lunch where they can sample each of the festive dishes that were created. 

After mastering their cooking skills, guests will partake in a wine pairing seminar where they will have the opportunity to sample a variety of wines, and learn how to best pair them with different dishes. The evening will wrap up with a decadent three-course dinner served in the Wine Room, hosted by Executive Chef, Vincent Stufano.
