Big disappointement - dirty hotel, poor food- never ever
Fairmont Aiman is an all inclusive hotel used mainly by russian tourists, that might have lower expectations from 5* hotel, but we were extremely disappointed, with almost everything.
I can compare it to Fairmont bab al bahr we visited one week before we arrived to Fairmont Ajman, this Fairmont Ajman hotel is making bad name to Fairmont and all 5 hotels.
After one week in Fairmont Ajman I had enough time and opportunities ho see how it looks like when nice hotel with nice beach is managed very bad and irresponsibly.
When I saw hotel facilities and dinner, I was decided to leave the hotel after the first night, but as I was on holiday with 3 kids and 2 grandmothers and this was our third hotel in 3 weeks in UAE, they asked me not to force them to move again.
Facilities:
Hotel overall is in very bad condition and is maintained very poorly. I can not believe I was in quite new hotel (according to information from a web hotel was built in 2014). Feeling from the hotel is like you are in some low cost all inclusive 4* hotel from the 1980s in costa brava, not in a new 5* hotel in UAE! Everything in the hotel is worn, dirty or broken. Wherever you look you see something damaged. Maintenance of the hotel is clearly very poor. Only paper cups in rooms... asked for proper glass cups twice, took 2 days to get it. Seats on beach and all pool area is in bad condition-see pictures. Tv entertainment- useless-impossible to pair with phone, internet was disconnecting constantly .
Food:
Food was far far below 5* Quality of food was very low (ok for 3*, of hotels like Formula1 or Travelodge), choice even worse. Every day was the same: breakfast- cheapest bakery(like from carrefour), cheapest cereals, yogurt filled directly from 5L buckets, only fruit was 2 melons and pineapple. Highlight of breakfast was smoked salmon( 3 times in 7 days), which was always eaten out. Coffe worst ever. Dinner the same- dried chicken and always the same choice of very poor food and deserts. Sushi (maki) is always eaten out and only with cucumber the whole week. Only good thing was Indian food. We tried italian and turkish restaurants too, the same result- overpriced low quality food. For example some turkish meat that is supposed to be served with some turkish bread was served with pieces of the cheapest baguette made from frozen semi-finished product. Other travellers with all inclusive complained that there wasn't any snack during the day, at least for children.
Staff:
Some of the staff was good, but most of them needed proper training. Any interest of you, none welconing, when you must give priority to the waiter when entering the dining room, something is very wrong in this 5* hotel.
