Congress Street Bats
Austin has grown to revere the 1.5 million bats that reside underneath the famous Congress bridge. They are visible April-May, but peak season to witness the cloud of emerging bats is late June - early August. The sophisticated animals usually surface around 8:30pm-9:30pm. Catch the one-hour Lone Star Riverboat Bat Cruise for a spectacular view from underneath Congress bridge. The cruise runs nightly beginning in March through early November.
