It's insane that a hotel of this caliber charges for Internet access. While the hotel was nice. I'd never choose to stay at a hotel where this isn't included. It's like charging for sheets.
Late check in to gold suite. Had to use the regular check in desk. Check in took forever. Room key did not work. Apparently, the living area was being actively renovated. Eventually moved to another room which was fine. Night manager promised an “amenity” for the trouble, but we never got anything. Also didn’t get platinum level drink certs until we reminded the gold level attendant our last night. When we tried to use the certs, the only thing open was the lobby lounge and literally every single seat/table was labeled “reserved”. Had to request a table from bartender. Then all of the signature cocktails were sold out. Waiter was accommodating -ended up with martinis. On check out, gold level attendant said she would put a request in for our valet car. When we actually went to get our car, the valet said there were no requests. This added 15 min. The gold suite is fine, but there are almost no lights in the living area. Please add some end tables and lamps or an overhead light above the dining table. Also, I think the fridge should be regularly stocked with complimentary items on gold levels. Turn down was very strange. At every other hotel I’ve been, the drapes would be opened during the day and closed at night. I requested as such and it never happened. Gym was good. Pool was very crowded and partially closed off due to some sort of conference.
See above.

The service was really wonderful, starting with check-in, a lovely cheese plate after I arrived, and very helpful staff.
The customer service and support at the Fairmont Austin was some of the best I’ve ever experienced. Pablo, the concierge went above and beyond to help us with a wardrobe malfunction and truly saved the day for us! When I had a question about my bill Monet reached out immediately to address my question and had a level of follow through that I don’t often see. The customer service from there two, along with all the rest of the staff at the Fairmont will make me definitely stay here from now on when I visit Austin.
We were visiting Austin for the first time for a wedding. The staff was very helpful and pleasant, the room amenities were great and the fragrance in the lobby of the hotel was wonderful.
We enjoyed our two nights at the Fairmont overall. The facilities including the gym and pool were lovely. However our room did not include wifi which I found ridiculous, and when we tried to use the refrigerator to keep our own purchased drinks cold, we ended up getting charged a bunch of money for the hotel’s drinks we never touched (was eventually refunded). Breakfast was also not included an expensive. Drinks at the bar were Manhattan prices (come on!). I think I would book somewhere else next time.
I wish when I booked the reservation I would have been told there was a GIANT corporate event scheduled that would over take the entire hotel. During our stay for our daughter's spring break, there were two sunny days. The corporate people infultrated the pool area which left us unable to locate chairs by the pool. This was a special trip for us as our daughter is getting ready to graduate from high school. We were excited to relax pool side and enjoy time with our daughter. Although we enjoyed our time with her regardless of the hotel circumstances but our time spent at Fairmont was disappointing. The hotel was lovely but we were left feeling like we were amongst a rat race within the mass amounts of people attending the huge corporate event. There were areas of the hotel we were unable to utilize. Example; the area next to the pool was completely closed during our stay to accomodate the corporate event. Had this area been opened it would have allowed for over flow seating from the pool. The circumstances of the corporate event should have been disclosed upon booking our trip allowing us to decide if we should book with another hotel.
