check in needs to improve, counter needs to ensure people do not jump queue. It's too long and when people jump queue, the wait will be much longer for those that queued.

I booked 2 nights initially with Fairmont Chengdu. When I checked in, the stuff was friendly and professional. I was upgraded to luxury room. The room is spacious with a view of Tianfu Avenue - The world's longest city central axis and Century City - The World's biggest stand-alone building. Amazing! The room is clean and well equipped, large comfortable bed with bed end bench, automatic window sheer and shutter, study desk and chairs, Nesspresso coffee machine and capsule just like at home. Universal sockets even fit my UK plugs. The bathroom is bright and spacious, it shows high standard. Smart toilet and shower are separate and both are well-functional. What impressed me most is the big walk-in wardrobe you don't normally see in other hotels. The hotel is 50 metres away from C and D Exits of Century City tube Station of Line 1 and 18, getting to Tianfu airport is only 30-40 minutes on line 18, and similar time to Tianfu Square on another direction on line 1. The breakfast is also very good, plenty of choices. I planned to stay in other hotel in the city centre for the next 3 nights, but I cancelled it and continued staying in Fairmont Chengdu. And when I finished my trip in other cities, I stayed another night there, equally happy stay again. I really enjoyed staying in Fairmont Chengdu, and I will definitely choose it again when I am in Chengdu next time.

Well satisfied with my stay there. Everything is excellent except for the wifi. Should improve on it so that connection to the wifi is not problematic. For international travellers with no wechat, it is troublesome to connect to it. And the wifi speed is also very poor. For an international hotel chain serving business travellers, wifi is very important service to provide.

My experience at this hotel was undoubtedly enjoyable. I'm grateful for the assistance I received from the reception team, as they were incredibly helpful and attentive to guests' request. The room was impeccably clean and offered a high level of comfort.

Breakfast at gold lounge is a big disappointment, was rushing for a flight,went there at 830am,shock to find that the chef at egg station is not there,told to wait for 10 mins..bacon is cook badly,congee is cold.. Wanted a bottle of champagne to celebrate our wedding anniversary, saw a bottle of pol Roger champagne, the manager says she don't know what's the price,told me to choose another bottle.. Swimming is close for some reason,but we are not inform when we make the booking and upon check in... MR CARLO,GM..its a new year..and and you and Yr team certainly made a bad memory for us at Yr hotel..Happy New Year
