LUNAR NEW YEAR - RED PACKETS

Inspiration Behind the Red Packet Design

  • Iconic inspiration

Drawing from our distinctive façade, the design reinterprets our signature balcony patterns into a rhythmic geometric motif.

  • Openness and perspective

The balconies symbolise spaces for pause, reflection, and readiness for what lies ahead.

  • A defining hallmark

Every balcony reflects a key feature of Fairmont Singapore and Swissôtel The Stamford — all rooms and suites include private balconies with expansive city views.

  • Unity and momentum

The repeating motif represents stability and togetherness, while its rhythmic flow echoes the energy of the Horse — steady, purposeful, and forward-moving.

  • Auspicious meaning

Highlighted in gold, selected balcony outlines form the Chinese character 吉 (jí), symbolising good fortune, auspicious beginnings, and heartfelt blessings.

  • A gradual reveal

Thoughtfully woven into the pattern, the character emerges subtly, mirroring how new opportunities unfold with time and intention.

  • Warmth and welcome

Softly glowing windows evoke homes lit for reunion, reflecting the hospitality at the heart of our hotels.
