About Rieslingfreak

Established in 2009, Rieslingfreak started as a labour of love with the goal of celebrating the depth and diversity of Riesling. Today, the winery is known for 11 numbered styles, each reflecting both its origin and unique expression.

Drawing fruit from South Australia’s most renowned Riesling regions – Clare Valley, Eden Valley and Polish Hill River – Hughes creates wines that range from dry to sweet, as well as sparkling and fortified. Few grape varieties offer such breadth, and his winemaking brings out the distinctive character of every vineyard.
