Room size is ideal for a single traveler but not much so for a couple - the bathroom definitely cannot accommodate more than 1 person unless one of them is in the shower. . Lake view rooms are subject to extreme noise from Dufferin Terrace as there is a musician playing for tips at least until 9pm.
A wonderful hotel with great customer service, history and location.
The hotel is beautiful and in an excellent location. My experience was made even better by staying on the Fairmont Gold level - it was wonderful! What really stood out to me was the amazing staff and service provided throughout my stay.

The iconic Frontenac castle does not disappoint, centrally located in Old Quebec, you can walk to all historical sites. If you have children, I strongly recommend the rally/treasure hunt.
Although we liked our stay, the first room we were offered was horrible. If we hadn’t spoken up we would have been in that awful room. The clerk should’ve given us an acceptable room if there was one available without us having to come back and complain.
The Chateau was fabulous. Service was first class and every team member that we encountered was extremely helpful and friendly. It was a beautiful Hotel with a wonderful view of the city.
Not too bad
Beautiful hotel with rich history although I did not find the Le Chateau Frontenac Gold Lounge as good as Empress or Whistler. I didn't find the food as high quality compared to the other Fairmont Gold Lounges. Tea was not self-serve and hidden in a drawer. The hotel tour was $18 which I thought should be included with the Gold room. One of the pools was cold and not as nice as Whistler's pool.
