Location is not the best to enjoy town, nothing close by of any interest. Service was inconsistent (room was done in different ways every day, never gotten any caffeinated coffee after the first day) and we received a phishing attempt via booking.com that the hotel dismissed when raised it on arrival. No way to walk out of the hotel comfortably, it was more like a car friendly entrance which is not ideal (to go out on foot you have to go through a backdoor entrance - not easily accessible). Breakfast staff was nice but the service was very slow. Not a 5star service overall. No idea of how much things cost in the minibar (iPad provided did not work even after requesting it to be fixed). Pool was nice, Spa very expensive.

I am really pleased with my stay at Fairmont. Its possibly not the best located hotel, neither is it the most posh I have been to. However what makes it special is the staff. The reception, restaurant staff and especially the concierge team of Ali, Fukran and Ozan went over and beyond to make your stay extra comfortable, guide you in a new country where everyone does not speak English, help you with multiple options, work around you as a customer keeping in mind your specific needs, your comfort, arrange cabs, shopping tips, book restaurants, even book activities outside Istanbul which is none of their concern but purely in the interest of the customer , they will do it. The Gold lounge is good. A few more options of food and wine will be better and make it a richer experience.

My other half and I felt so comfortable staying at Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, service is top notch, facilities are top notch and the rooms are comfortable too. The only setback is that the hotel is a distance away from metro station. Other than that two thumbs up.
