It took 50 teams of horses and 200 men working together for a year in order to clear the land of boulders and debris to prepare it for what would become one of Canada's premiere golf courses. Since the opening of the mountain golf course in 1925, this jewel set deep in the heart of the Canadian Rockies has been the setting of unforgettable memories for all of those who come to play.
Few golf courses in the world can match the rugged majesty of this national treasure, rated Canada's #1 Golf Resort for the past 20 years by SCOREGolf Magazine.

JPL is truly a magical place - how they order perfect snowfall and perfectly placed animals is beyond me. Each staff member is exemplary - friendly, goes the extra mile, and answers any question you may have.

We absolutely love this property. The location and setup is magical. We have been going here for years ad will continue to return on a regular basis. Have been there in all seasons and each season has its own charm. The lakeside rooms are heavenly all around. The grounds and wider location provides some of the best nature Cana da has to offer. There were some glitches with housekeeping due to staffing shortage which we understand. The staff gave 100+% all the time to compensate and make our stay wonderful all around. Special thank you to Shiva (front desk manager), Mitch (front desk), and Hassan (concierge).

We got a great room close to the lodge view of the lake for a good rate. Service was top-notch all weekend.

The amenities are wonderful …loved the pool, hot tub and steam room. The cream in room is so delightful! And the views …amazing!
Had a delay checking in of about one hour waiting for our room to be ready even though we completed the pre check in online. Hospitality of staff was excellent
I arrived at the hotel on March 4th late, around 10 pm. Room #271 offered to us, was not cleaned: it had a dog bed in the middle of the room, and lots of dog poo and pee on the balcony. The room was also smelling inside (pee). We were very tired from the road so we decided to sleep in for the night. Coincidentally, that night the heat was not working (pump on the water tank was locked with air) and it was freezing in the room. I remember I slept with a hoody on. Not a very pleasant experience for our anniversary week. The next day we talked with the concierge and moved into a different room, #257, which was better but still freezing cold as was part of the same building, with the same heating problem. Overall our experience was a 5 out of 10.
We have been coming to JPL every year for the past decade, and find it a very relaxing and enjoyable place to be, with the surrounding nature, the layout of the resort with separate cabins, the big fireplace in the main lodge, the outdoor pool, the skating rink, etc. Unfortunately, we had a few disappointments during this stay. First, we had no Wifi for the entire weekend we were there; we were told that there was an issue with the internet provider, which we understood, but we also got a flippant response regarding the lack of Wifi ("this is a complimentary service we provide"). In this day and age, internet is expected and we believe we should have been compensated more than we were (the hotel removed the resort fee). Also, we had no robes in our room. We thought maybe, after Covid, they weren't provided anymore, and after running freezing from the pool to the changerooms with -20 winds, we saw other people walking around in robes. We called to inquire, and were told that we should have had robes in our room. They were then delivered to us, but since we didn't go back to the pool, it was really too late.
Our stats are always good.
