We had a very nice time at Kea Lani while we were there. It’s a beautiful resort with great restaurants, facilities and suites. The only issue we encountered was that there was a conference going on at the same time and that group was able to book out large parts of the resort, including some common areas, which limited our access to certain areas during our stay. Other than that, the stay was great! I just would have liked to know there was a conference on site before we booked as we likely would have gone elsewhere.
Rooms were clean and beautiful, food and service at the restaurants was excellent, and the tranquility pools and hot tub were great! The only thing that took away from the overall experience was the construction. The side entrance just isn't big enough for all the traffic and it doesn't give that sense of awe when you walk in. Otherwise, we loved it!

Staff was friendly and helpful
Fairmont and Accor systems continue not to talk to each other. This creates problems getting recognition for my diamond status. This is not the first time. Constant construction noise cumulated with our last day it being so loud we could not talk to each other for periods of time.
The one major failing for me is the bed. It it too hard. Look at the mattress and pillow-top that Sheraton uses. Very comfortable. They promote their mattresses and bedding to the point of separately selling these items online. You should change out your mattresses, or at least put very plush and thick pillow-tops on them. Much thicker than you now have. The primary point of a hotel is a place to sleep. The bed is at the top of the need. You could promote your bedding as an inducement to stay there as do other hotels.
The hotel is beautiful, our room was amazing and it was meticulously cleaned every day. We had everything we needed and more! However, we would have appreciated to be notified in advance that there was going to be construction during our stay and offered a chance to find another hotel, or discount to compensate for the noise. We chose to leave the hotel during the day but would have preferred to stay.

Had a great stay, really no complaints. I have stayed at a lot of the Fairmont Resorts/Hotels in Canada and have recently become compelled to do the Fairmont tour globally, that is to say my objective is to stay at all the resorts. This resort is really well located in Wailea, on a very clean beach in somewhat of a cove, the rooms are all suites, Ko and Nick's Fishmarket are great, our stay was amazing. I only have two suggestions; the A La Carte breakfast menu is extremely small and not that impressive. I think this is a missed opportunity. Many of the Fairmont's i have stayed offer both the full buffet breakfast and a good size A La Carte menu, for those that want a higher quality designed meal, something specific, or just dont like going to the buffet. I feel this is a big missed opportunity. Also, i recognize that it is Maui, and general hours are different, but some folks flights are arriving after 10pm, especially by the time we get to the hotel. It is really disappointing that there isnt even a pantry that you can buy a granola bar from. You should consider having something, somewhere, even at the front desk, for late arrivals. If those late arrivals didnt eat on the plane, they will be dying for even a snack.
My wife and I had a great time at the Fairmont. The room was fantastic, the food was good, pool and beach staff was so friendly and helpful.
