Corregidor Island
A small island west of Manila, Corregidor was the site of incredible courage, valor and heroism displayed during World War II. Although the guns now lay silent, the buildings and tunnels of Corregidor bear the battle scars of that dark but eventual victorious time in the Philippines' history. Get to The Rock via ferry and take in a guided tour. Learn More

Pinto Art Museum
Located in Antipolo, Rizal, north of Manila, the Pinto Art Museum is a charming contemporary art space in the Silangan Gardens. The collection of Mediterranean white-washed villas house several galleries amidst gardens dotted with sculpture and statues. The entire compound isn't just a visual delight, but an engaging artistic journey. Don't leave without writing an anonymous letter for "The Undelivered Project". Learn More

Taal Town
In 1999, the town of Taal was declared a National Heritage Town. Rich with culture, history and mysticism, and just two hours down south from Manila, Taal is the perfect day trip. Climb the 125 steps of San Lorenzo Ruiz, starting at the Caysasay Church where the poor used to hear mass, and end at the Taal Basilica at the top where the rich would go to worship, which is also known as the largest church in Asia. Visit the Camera Museum, or one of the renovated or well-maintained ancestral homes now open to the public.
