excellent location
Overall, it was good...however, there were some glaring issues...first of all: The washer/dryer on the third floor was generally always busy and not kempt...I took my laundry up to the 5th floor, only to find out there was NO washer/dryer present...only empty space where there was one previously...very disappointed...do you realize how many guests were using the very small stackables on our third floor? I had to get up at 5AM just to ensure that I would be able to utilize the laundry facilities...:(
Secondly, breakfast service was either limited to a large buffet style meal(costly) or you were limited to sit outdoors at Brown's Deli with a hard boiled egg or an egg sandwich..if you were looking for egg protein...they were very well stocked with fruit, breads, rolls, cereal, but NO fresh Orange Juice either....just out of a can...tasted like that from a fountain at a fast food chain...:(
The staff was incredible and so nice at The Deli...Robert, Marla, Natalie to name a few...but, they can not provide certain items to the guests, if they are not available for purchase.
HKS(Housekeeping Staff) was awesome! They thoroughly cleaned our room everyday and came by to see if we needed anything in the evenings! And no matter how hard they were working or even if they were tired, they always smiled and said, "Hello" or "Good Evening" or "Have a Nice Day!"
The bell persons, especially, Hugh, was remarkable...One eve my husband sustained a huge splinter in his Left thumb. I had neglected to pack tweezers and a needle...I went to Hugh, and to my surprise, he went in the back room and there he was with a small needle with an eye to help assist me with removing the splinter! I tried to talk to Juan, his superior, about Hugh's compassion, but was unable to for he was on the phone! Please! A big shout out to Hugh! He saved the day! :)
Also, I encountered 2 ladies at the front desk by the name of "Jasmine." They were both so helpful and so accommodating. They always had a very pleasant smile and were so respectful.
I felt, as my husband did, that the interior of the North Tower specifically looked "tired." It desperately needs a "facelift." The walls need either re-painted or re-wall papered. The drab dark dismal carpeting needs taken out and replaced with either brighter carpeting or water resistant luxury vinyl hardwoods.
Whatever you would do in that respect would be a BIG IMPROVEMENT! And, the elevators need a whole lot more attention. More cleaning or replacement of the elevator flooring and keeping the interior more shiny and clean. We felt it was quite drab and dark inside-needs a freshened up look and updated for sure. I think everyone of your guests would appreciate the cleaner/fresher look of the above mentioned "needs."
