The Fairmont was the perfect jump off point for a short stay in Calgary. Within easy walking distance to several craft breweries, the Saddledome for a hockey game and good restaurants.

It was a “staycation”, room was great, bar service good, breakfast very poor and valet parking was expensive.

The staff are amazing. The Gold lounge is fantastic and a great place to unwind, have a tethering space and get a small snack and beverage.
Amazing experience at the Palliser! I was born and raised in Calgary, and this was the first time I had ever gone to the Palliser. Our room was very spacious, and appreciated it being a corner room as we had windows on 2 sides of it, which made it feel even bigger! Love that Fairmont has moved away from small toiletry bottles and into the big ones that housekeeping can just refill, so much less waste. The elevators in the lobby also felt like they knew when you were walking towards them as there was always one waiting to take you up to your floor. Even when I was approaching them behind 3 other people with a lot of luggage, knowing I wouldn't be able to fit in that elevator with them, another one opened up ready to go. The pool, jacuzzi and steam room was also a nice amenity. While on the smaller side, it was never that busy and was a nice way to relax throughout the day. You also cannot go wrong with the location! I only wish their change room lockers were easier to use, as the combination locks they had installed were somewhat of a challenge to get used to. Right next door to the Calgary Tower, and also across the street from Stephen Ave and The Core, there's always something for you to do with your days in the area without the need of driving. We booked using one of the Travelzoo vouchers, and being able to enjoy the Hawthorn Restaurant for free breakfast every day was amazing! I wish I could remember the name of one of our servers, as she remembered us from the day before and while we were not in her section, remembered what we had planned for that day, remembered out names and checked in with us to see how our day went and what else we had planned. Such a nice touch for staff to remember you like that!

Disappointed. Tried to order a movie but the internet was so slow you could barely change the channel. The change room for the pool is also used for the spa so there was 12 women is a space big enough for two. The rooms and beds were nice as always but we won’t be returning to this location
We were missing items in the room such as coffee cups, cream and sugar. Ended up being overcharged substantially and are still waiting for a correction. I have never received our room bill which was to be emailed. Caught the overcharge on my credit card bill.
People were fantastic. Stayed on Gold for my Birthday but we were put in 826 a beautiful room but the train noise was loud. 3 trains every night. Ouch. Love Calgary Palliser.
It's always good to get back to the Palliser we have a long history together. I was married there in 1981 nothing fancy just the JP on the second floor always like to see the look on the staff faces.
