From the first steps into the entrance until we departed, the staff were ever attentive. The only physical barrier were the (2?) dozen steps from the main entrance to the lobby floor. My wife is waiting for hip surgery and using a cane, those steps were difficult. The Reigns Bar and Restaurant staff (Kevin and Joseph) were ever so attentive - thank you. The room was well appointed and very comfortable.

Loved the gold floor staff. The concierge lounge was superb--one of the best! Loved the aromatherapy shower in our room. Loved the hotel's location across from the train, subway and streetcar stations. Location made it easy to get around town to visit various sites. The hotel bed, however was not comfortable.
We were treated very well and staff responded to all our requests in a timely manner. They even went above and beyond to address a small issue I had with in-room dining, treating us to a little something and not charging for the meal.
After a very long wait for checkin our room was as expected. Beds were very squeaky though. Bathroom small Updated but still old room
My family and I were in town for a wedding, and our first visit to Toronto. Our travel itinerary was flipped upside down due to a cancelled flight out of Atlanta. Thankfully, we were able to switch our reservations by phone, but had to pay extra b/c there were no more comparable Gold Level rooms available for our new dates. We got to the hotel late. We were exhausted and starving. There was a massive & slow line at the reception at almost midnight. After waiting in line, the employee told us to go to the 18th floor for check-in, but there was no one there at that hour so we came back downstairs and eventually got our room key. As soon as we got to the room we called Room Service and were told they had stopped serving. It was 11:59pm. Had we not been incorrectly directed upstairs OR had the restaurant given us grace calling so close to closing we would've eaten well. Instead we had to order GrubHub poutine that arrived sometime after 1:30am!!!! The entire weekend was a feast for the senses (and not in a good way) due to Carabana. Although you, the hotel, have no control over the carnival and parade, I was HORRIFIED at what you consider appropriate attire for your guests & lobby. Full on thongs, pasties & see through "dresses" just to name a few of the outfits we saw and mostly women who absolutely should NOT be wearing that little clothing. Honestly, I was just nasty! Lastly, on the day of the wedding my daughter called twice asking for hairspray as hers was out. If that's not something you can provide, a simple no would've sufficed. But instead they told her both times it was on the way and of course it never arrived. Our room was lovely (and it should've been for those rates), but we will most certainly never be back to your location and must assume that our experiences would be similar at other Farimont locations. It was a first and a last for our family.
Great downtown location. I was not happy with my suite. However, they changed suites without any extra cost. I was 100% not happy with the bathrooms in the suite, then again this is an older hotel.
