Urban Experience Fee

In order to better serve our guests, several of Fairmont Royal York’s most sought-after amenities are bundled into a daily Urban Experience Fee, eliminating multiple individual charges and providing a discounted value for services. The fee of $30 per room per night, subject to applicable taxes, will be automatically added to your guest room folio and provides guests with the following amenities: 

  • Premium high speed internet in rooms and public spaces
  • Local and North American long distance telephone calls
  • $25 daily hotel food and beverage credit to be used after 11:00 am 
  • 10% off Dry Cleaning
  • 15% off Ripley's Aquarium tickets to be booked at the Concierge Desk
  • Self-guided hotel history tour available at the Concierge Desk


Fairmont Royal York uses the professional child care services of Imagine That Family Care. All Imagine That Family Care child care professionals are highly trained and thoroughly screened, talented ECEs, CYWs or teachers. Bell Staff

Bellmen are located in the Main Entrance of the hotel, 24-hours a day. They will be happy to assist you with porterage and luggage storage. For guests traveling by train, VIA Rail's ''RED CAP'' porter will bring your luggage across the street to the Registration Desk.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is anytime after 4:00 p.m., local time, on the day of arrival, and check-out is anytime before 12:00 p.m.


The Concierge Desk is located in the Main Lobby. They will happily assist you with obtaining tickets for sporting events and theaters, making dinner reservations and arranging city tours. To reach the concierge directly, please call (416) 368-2511.


The hotel has 13 elevators that run from the Avenues level (lower level) to the exclusive 18th floor Fairmont Gold Lounge. An express elevator to the 19th Floor Executive Meeting Rooms is located across from the Front Desk. 

For guests who require a wheelchair accessible entrance, elevator access is available via the Valet Parking entrance off Front Street on the East side of the hotel.

High Speed Internet Access - WiFi

High speed internet access is available at a daily fee.

Standard internet access = $15.76 CAD per 24 hours.
Premium internet access = $27.06 CAD per 24 hours.


The Housekeeping staff will provide extra amenities such as humidifiers, cribs and rollaway beds at no extra cost. If you require a crib or rollaway bed, we recommend reserving a Deluxe Guestroom as these guestrooms have sufficient space for the additional sleeping area.

Laundry Services

Laundry/Valet Service is available seven days a week. Rush and overnight service as well as garment pressing are also available. Limited service is available on Sundays and public holidays.

Medical Services

The Fairmont Royal York Security Team members are trained in First Aid and CPR and respond to emergency calls in the hotel 24 hours a day. The hotel also utilizes the services of an on-call doctor at the guest's request. Additional medical equipment, including wheelchairs, is available on request (subject to availability).


VALET Parking
Valet Parking is available at the east doors of the hotel, off Front Street. In-and-out privileges are included. Valet parking will be charged to your room account unless otherwise specified. Please refer to the Directions page of our website for information on getting to Fairmont Royal York, including updates on area lane closures.

  • Overnight: $59 per night, for Registered Guests
  • Hourly: $13 per hour, up to 3 hours maximum
  • Restaurant Parking: $30, up to 3 hours maximum        
  • Event Parking: $42, up to 5 hours maximum

OVERSIZED Vehicles: acceptance of vehicles with a height of more than 6’4” remains on a first come first serve basis, to the discretion of the Hotel due to limited existing oversized vehicle spaces.

  • Overnight: $74 per night for Registered Guests
  • Hourly: $29 per hour up to maximum of $57 (Max 8 Hours and not overnight)
  • Restaurant Parking: $45 up to 3 hours maximum
  • Event Parking: $57 up to 5 hours maximum

Pet Policy

Small pets are allowed in the hotel but cannot be left unattended in guest rooms at any time and must be kept on a leash in common areas. There is a $50 per stay pet fee and Deluxe Rooms are recommended for pets over 20 lbs (9 kg). Please note pets are not permitted on our hypoallergenic floors, Health Club or Dining Venues.

Service dogs are welcome at the Fairmont Royal York at no additional fee, however, we kindly ask that you contact the hotel in advance of your stay.
