We enjoy staying here during the holidays. The hotel lobby is amazing with the gingerbread house and giant Christmas tree. The location is close to all our favorite restaurants. The Tonga room is also a fun experience. We love the Fairmont SF❤️

Room was dirty ( hair all over the mini bar), not stocked at all, I requested drinking glasses 3 times and it took 3-4 hours for them to be brought to my room. I have had much better service at the best western.
Just got in room found someone used bed and used toilet didn’t flush. Otherwise it’s perfect.

Preference for a room away from the elevators is on my Accor profile as well as the room reservation for this stay. Despite that, I was assigned to a room directly across from the bank of elevators and was subject to the elevator dings and guests conversations throughout the night. Despite providing a soap dish at the sink, a bar of soap was not provided. To wash my hands, I had to reach into the shower and use the soap pump that was BOLTED TO THE WALL of the shower. During my last stay, slippers, shower cap and vanity items (cotton balls, cotton swabs) were provided, so I did not pack these things. They were not provided this time, and I was informed that these items are only available "upon request." Despite sharing these concerns in the kindest possible manner at checkout, I was not offered any compensation to address my complaints. So disappointed in the Fairmont.
Everyone we met was very cordial and helpful. The room was nice. Some of the furniture felt tired and one of the curtains had a slight rip. But I feel that it was simply age. The bed was comfortable. One of the pillows needed to be replaced however, the down had bunched. The Tonga room was fantastic! Drinks were phenomenal food was okay. The music did not fit the venue. Overall I had an awesome time and the issues I found were minor and did not affect my stay.
I stayed in an ostensibly new mezzanine room. There was no fridge or credenza/cupboard with drawers. There were no modern lamps with charge ports. No minibar. Water ran brown in bathroom. The main door wouldn’t close properly and was left open by cleaning staff and me. In addition breakfast and gym opened too late each day to fit with jpm agenda.
I work in Customer Experience for Hospitality for the 1%, so I am uniquely qualified to assess my stay. I frequent the Ritz, Half Moon Bay, Cavallo Point and Casa Madrone in Sausalito to name a few local spots. Compared to those properties, the Fairmont is quite dated. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling of my shower and I think there was a shower curtain which nobody uses in 2023. I took my daughters here for one night as a staycation to see all of the holiday decor and we likely will not be returning next year unless the rooms get a facelift.
I was expecting perfection for the price I paid. The staff were very nice from the front desk to the maid. However, my vent in bathroom was very dusty, my blow dryer was broken, and there was no hand soap in bathroom.
