Everyone employed at the hotel was genuinely friendly and helpful. The breakfast hosts knew my name the second morning I arrived at breakfast; the bell men welcomed me after every Lyft ride and wished me well when ever I left. I was traveling alone to visit my daughter in the city so staying alone at the hotel and it was lovely to have easy, friendly exchanges when on my own there.
Great view and walk around the hotel will be a great morning and afternoon workout!
Just a one-night stay for a business meeting; service was very well-executed
I am not normally one to stay in a luxury hotel so I definitely don’t dress or really act the part. Everyone staff wise was super respectful, attentive and helpful with every request and recommendation. The Tonga Room amazing, delicious food and drink, definitely a beautiful place to stay with amazing views and and amazing staff.
My experience at the Fairmont in SF started off great. The lady at the front desk was kind enough to upgrade my boyfriend and I to a room with a great view of SF. That's about where the great experience ended. Mila at the restaurant was just not nice - simply put. When I went downstairs the next morning to ask her where I could use the $10 coffee credit, she scoffed at me and was very dismissive. Then upon finding the coffee area, the team was again not nice and pleasant - no smiles, no hellos - nothing. I work in the Customer Success field so it's fair to say I notice these things from an esteemed hotel like yourself. I can even pass all of that up but the biggest issue of all turned out to be the room itself. I am very allergic to dust mites and from day 2 onwards, I was unable to stay in my room for long periods of time because my eyes would water and sneezing wouldn't stop due to the dust in our room. I later looked around and saw grey/black dust all along the window panes and this made my visit pretty much unlivable. We had to sleep in this room of course and I woke up every morning feeling horrible with the dust allergies due to the dust in the room. I am writing this review because upon check out, no one asked how my experience was. Further, I was charged an urban fee every night that was not ONCE explained to me when checking in. I chose this hotel as a Chase Sapphire Reserve member expecting the best. Unfortunately, the stay was not the best in any which way.

Had great time and will be back
I liked the overall atmosphere in the hotel, it's well located on the intersection of cable cars, which is great, good view on the church nearby and stuff of the hotel did a great a job on supporting with my requests. However, I got a great room with a view on the ocean and SF, I wasn't able to enjoy it - windows were too dirty and you can't really open it. Secondly, I not sure which room, my company reserved for me, I was always feeling a rip off - you need even pay for the wifi in 2024, that's weird + all the hidden extra charges, I would rather pay higher room fee, but don't care about all the extra expenses. Overall, from the rooms and stuff communication I had an impression, Fairmont is great hotel to stay for special event and book e.g. Buckingham room with a balcony, but for my next business trip, I'll choose something else. Best regards
Staff was friendly and easy to talk to. The hotel was clean.
