Hotel is clean and rooms are adequate. The hotel has a nightclub on site which is very loud till 2-3am. Ok if sleep not required. Rooms quite basic and no amenities for tea making. If travelling from UK hair appliances won’t work due to voltage.

I would have rated the stay a 10. Restaurants, room, staff. Everything was amazing. The rating was reduced and I probably would not stay again, becuase of the outdoor party that went until 1am each night of our stay
Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fairmont Miramar. I spent 5 days in Santa Monica and the location of the hotel was so convenient for walking around 3rd St. Promenade, and down Ocean Ave towards the Pier. The restaurants at the hotel were incredible for breakfast, coffee, lunch and dinner, so I often preferred to stay put. The gym was configured perfectly and far exceeded other hotel gyms I’ve used, a personal favourite was the outdoor sections. My journey to Santa Monica was disrupted due to airline issues and upon arrival we extended our stay by a day, and Jose (Concierge) went above and beyond to make sure that the rest of our vacation and stay would be seamless and enjoyable. I loved Santa Monica and loved Fairmont Miramar even more, I’ll be back!

Initial greeting by Jeremy (?) at front desk was the beginning of our three night stay. He was most accommodating and we were admitted to our room in spite of being early which was very much appreciated after a long flight from the east coast. Lunch on the outside porch, lovely! Housekeeping did great job. We were most comfortable and enjoyed location to the Ocean.
This is a lovely hotel and overall the staff was just excellent. We were given an early check-in as well which was really appreciated. Can you explain what the ‘Resort Experience Fee’ of $45 is for? I also don’t understand the ‘Resort Experince Fee Sales Tax’ of $6.75. I was not alerted of either of these fees. We did not use the ‘car service’ or any of the spa services. We used valet and restaurant, but we paid and tip for every single interaction. Not sure why we are being assessed the 2 additional fees. We did have a broken refrigerator. We asked them to replace it, which they did, thank you. However, they just left the new fridge in front of the refrigerator on the floor! I’m not quite sure why that was the solution. They left all our items in the old (broken) fridge and did not move to the new one. I understand I didn’t ASK for that, howeer, it surprised me that wasn’t done. So, all our stuff was just sitting in there for 8 hours. None of this is the end of the world, I am just following up as part of the feedback.

The staff at the Fairmont Miramar were so hospitable. So friendly. The food at the Fig was amazing. Again the staff at the bar were so friendly.
