Loud music, switched rooms 3 times; difficult communicating with front desk; worn out towels and sheets
Rooms are like matchboxes with bathrooms like closets. View are really of side of hotel and you have to stretch your neck to see ocean. Our first night couldn't sleep because AC was so loud, making a clanging noise. Changed rooms and apparently our reservation of 3 nights was changed to 2 nights. Two housekeeping people came to door to see when we were checking out followed by front desk calling to ask if we wanted to extend our stay an extra night. Took 10 minutes and a trip to the lobby to straighten out. Free breakfast turned out to be a $70 credit for me and my wife. That is fine expect the first item on the menu was the American breakfast was $38 per person. It should be listed as free continental breakfast because if you have eggs, bacon and toast followed by coffee for two plus tax and tip you are way over the $70 credit. Lastly, area around hotel feels unsafe to walk around. Homelessness is a social issue not the hotels but we were very uncomfortable stepping over sleeping bags during our morning walk. In summary this is an expensive account hotel, the kind that I booked when I was traveling on business, not the type of hotel you would book with wife and family.

It was a perfect stay. Meals at Fig, lounging by the pool, the lovely bungalow 32. Thank you for the wine and chocolates. A very nice greeting. One small flaw. There is always (we stay when visiting our children) an issue with checkout. Last time, I had to prove to the front desk that I paid the first night as a deposit. This time, I was told the server was down and I couldn’t apply my points to my stay. The manager did call me later to fix this but it was annoying.
Very nice
We stayed for 4 nights, the use of the bikes was a great feature for us. Loves that we could walk everywhere. The food from hotel was delish!
the rooms need updating, however the atmosphere, the food and the staff that work there make the whole stay, from the restaurants to the bars to concierge to hotel driver who is incredibly nice, I would stay over and over again just for that !

We stayed for one night in a suite with two children and the room was fine but the pull out couch mattress was uncomfortable (even for pullout couch mattress standards). We requested turn down service from the bell hop but the service never happened. We called the front desk requesting and only received after the third request. The toilet ran all night and the hand sprayer in the shower was broken. At the price we paid for the room, we would not stay again
