1)I feel like there should be an option for room service that includes a proper table set up and china. Ie- perhaps millennials want to eat out of a plastic bento box and a paper cup- but older clientele feel that this is not staying true to the elegant history of the Sonoma Mission Inn. Perhaps have a casual picnic basket option and a classic option. Paper cups for room service is just going too far in a quest to be environmentally friendly. Cream, salt, pepper- thrown into a paper bag. Someone in corporate needs to keep an eye on how cost cutting measures are affecting the customer experience. I have been frequenting the SMI for almost 40 years. Proper room service is expected- maybe you could have a few sets of dinnerware for older clientele (I am not yet 60) Each acor hotel should keep the hotel’s history in mind- and be sure to not cheapen the experience. 2) the employees in the spa check in and servicing the pool went out of their way to be friendly and remember names. I was beyond impressed.
My husband and I enjoyed celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary with you! We very much appreciated the bottle of cold champagne waiting in our room. Thank you again! Our room was well appointed. And all the staff and concergie services were very helpful. Liked the free shuttle to the square! We liked the glass of champagne upon arrival and the daily free wine tastings. Our only disappointment was in the pool area! I think it could use some remodeling! Overall a great stay!

Nice stay, great experience with valet and front desk staff. Loved the room, but lots of spiders in room and bugs around the property.
It’s a lovely property, but the building closest to the parking lot feels a little tired and not very luxurious. If you are going there for the spa, be aware that you will be charged a resort fee and also a spa fee (if you go). They do not guarantee you space at the spa, however. When I got my bill it was very complicated and I was charged a package charge and they did not give the credit that was promised. I called and spoke to someone but have not heard back with a resolution. The spa is awesome however.

The hotel is beautiful and nostalgic. The spa waters are really healing. However, what made the stay exceptional was the staff. Everyone went out of their way to make us comfortable. Even the engineers that came to our room to help us with the television were delighted to help us, and anxious to please. The sign of an exceptional hotel is service… the service at the Sonoma Mission Inn is unsurpassed. We will most definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay so special. The Martinellis
