St Andrews Destination Guide

Our cliff-top estate puts you within easy reach of everything that St Andrews, the Home of Golf, has to offer. Play on iconic fairways, then relax in clubhouse bars. Be sure to explore castle ruins and a medieval cathedral that tell the tale of the city’s importance as a pilgrimage site.
Authentic Scottish and Italian Dining
The heart of the resort beats in La Cucina, an Italian eatery offering authentic dishes with the accent on taste. Delight your senses with the 'food of love'. Also open seasonally is St Andrews Bay Clubhouse & Grill, a 2-AA Rosette restaurant perched on the clifftops and serving the finest local seafood and Scottish beef. This dining experience is truly unique for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offering some of the best sea views in the region.
Fife Coastal Path
The Fife Coastal Path stretches from Kincardine in Southern Fife all the way to Newburgh on the bank of the river Tay in the North. Our resort is situated on the stretch between St Andrews and Kingsbarns and can be accessed on foot from the front door of the hotel in only a few strides. Walk to St Andrews along the rugged coastline in approximately 90 minutes or make a longer adventure south to Crail and beyond.
Full Swing Simulator
A new addition to the resort in 2022, our Full Swing Golf Simulator was opened by Jordan Spieth and provides hours of entertainment for budding golfers, families and groups of friends. You are able to play 18 holes at almost any golf course in the world from the comfort of the Zephyr Sports Bar as well as other classic simulator games such as penalty shoot-outs, rugby kicks and ice hockey.
Golf at Fairmont St Andrews
Two championship golf courses wind their way around the resort with views overlooking St Andrews bay and the historic Home of Golf itself. Designed by Sam Torrance, the Torrance course is a traditional par 72 championship course blending the principles of links golf with a more modern style. The Kittocks course is arguably more visually pleasing with large rolling greens, undulating fairways and holes perched on the clifftops.
Fairmont Spa
Our Spa is open to residents and spa members from Monday to Sunday, 7am until 9pm. The Spa at Fairmont St Andrews reflects the energy of its surroundings. In traditional Celtic spirit, 10 luxurious treatment rooms offer a place to relax under our tartan and beside the flowing tide. An inspired collection of personalised treatments from ESPA and the best of natural skin care from Ishga awaits. Spa access also includes hydrotherapy pool and sauna.
