Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Blankenese

Blankenese

We are happy to help you plan your trip to Blankenese!

Blankenese, the famous staircase district, is probably the most beautiful part of Hamburg. We recommend a round trip from Blankenese station on the "mountain goat", as the public bus is affectionately called here and which has to slim down quite a bit in some places, as narrow as the streets are.

On the way to the shore, between the small houses, there are wonderful views over the kilometre-wide Elbe.Once you have reached the bottom, you should stop off on the terrace or in the conservatory of the Ahrberg restaurant. From there, the faithful "mountain goat" will take you back to Blankenese station, from where you can then take the Lininebus 36, along the stately Elbchausee, back to the urban jungle- sit on the right-hand side and enjoy and discover the magnificent views of the harbour.

"The famous Treppenviertel is probably the most wonderful and beautiful spot in Hamburg."
