NIKKEI NINE

The Fairmont Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Hamburg has opened the new design-restaurant NIKKEI NINE, offering innovative Japanese cuisine incorporated with Peruvian ingredients.



In the age of global proximity country-specific dishes and cooking techniques melt with unusual ingredients from other countries and regions. This interplay of contrasts is especially exciting when whole continents are connected in a culinary way: the so called Nikkei Cuisine represents Japanese cuisine with a Peruvian influence originated from the kitchens of Japanese immigrants in South America – predominantly in Peru and Brazil.

Using surprising combinations and intense flavors, NIKKEI Cuisine cultivated a style that complements the Japanese fine sense of classically elegant dishes by adding Peruvian and Brasilian elements. Tatar made from Wagyu beef from Southern Japan that was massaged by the farmer for the perfect marbling, marinated scallops with Peruvian elements that offer a whole new taste experience or classic ceviche as a sushi variation are just a few examples. The show kitchen with the Japanese Robata Grill delicate Angus beef or lamb with fennel is grilled on open fire. From Thursday through Saturday a DJ creates the perfect mood with an international flair.

Monday to Sunday: 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.

Lunch:
Monday to Saturday: 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
