  • From Vancouver International Airport
    (Approximately 3 hours)

    Follow the signs to Grant McConachie Way, Vancouver and city center.
    Proceed over the Arthur Laing Bridge.
    Keep right and follow the signs to Granville Street and city center.
    Go along Granville Street (approximately 8 km), then over the Granville Bridge.
    Take the Seymour exit off Granville Bridge.
    Follow Seymour Street 7 blocks to Georgia and turn left (west).
    Head west along Georgia Street, approximately 12 blocks to Stanley Park.
    Go through Stanley Park and onto the Lion's Gate Bridge.
    As you leave the bridge, follow the signs for West Vancouver.
    You will find yourself on Marine Drive.
    At the 1st traffic light turn right onto Taylor Way.
    At the 2nd traffic light, take the left lane and follow the signs to Horseshoe Bay.
    At Horseshoe Bay, watch for the exit sign onto Highway 99 North to Squamish and Whistler.
    Continue north along Highway 99 to Whistler Village.
    Once you reach the Whistler Valley, proceed through 6 traffic lights and turn right at the 7th traffic light onto Lorimer Road.
    Follow Lorimer Road through the traffic light to the Upper Village, until you reach the 4-way stop sign at Blackcomb Way.
    Turn right onto Blackcomb Way.
    Almost immediately, you will see The Fairmont Chateau Whistler sign at the foot of Chateau Boulevard (left-hand side).

Beautiful Hotel

Wonderful few nights at the hotel. Room had everything you could need and more. It had a luxury feel throughout. Facilities were excellent, especially the spa. Staff were welcoming and helpful.

Well located and excellent well-rounded service

My dad is a hemodialysis patient, most concern for me would be his special low salt/ potassium and phosphorus diet, appreciated very much hotel food and beverages service, the servers and chefs tried to accommodate my requests as best they could.

Exceptional stay

Magnifisent experience, The staff are not like any staff I ever seen, kind, sweet and always smiling. Super clean hotel and I loved that there is coffee in many places in the lobby and in the swimming pool.The coffee in the room was high quality. I ordered a soup in room dining and was amazing. You need high budget to enjoy this hotel, but it is worth it. the ski and hikes around are what the cherry on the cake

Plenty that's great but a few niggles

Gold 1 BR suite was excellent, bed super comfortable. All staff were very good indeed. Organised walks etc all wonderful. Gold lounge cries out for an adults only space. Breakfast could be better in both Wildflower and Gold Lounge simply by making buffet food hot and having healthier options. Deeply annoying shop in the bedroom described as an 'armoire' selling me minibar items and snacks which I don't want. Fridge doesn't have suitable space for the items I would want to put in it such as soda and chocolate not available in my country and keen to enjoy here. To do so would cost me a $20 'fine' which is appalling on a $17,000 dollar stay. Even a small carton of fresh milk to make the Nespresso drinkable would risk that fine. It's stupid, when I can go down to the Gold Lounge and get the non-alcoholic fridge items at no cost.

Platinum means nothing

As a Platinum member, upon arrival I typically expect to find that I have been upgraded, have two drinks available, and there will be no down bedding in my room. This check in, I had to explain to the woman all the previously mentioned perks that ACCOR platinum affords me. I was not upgraded until I mentioned it, I did not receive a free drink until I mentioned it, and my duvet and pillows were both down. Further to that, at the end of my ski trip I went to talk to the ACCOR rep about paying any outstanding costs to my ACCOR points. He then told me that I have a $50.00 food credit and I have used $20.00 of it already. Food credit….you’d think upon check in that this might be some vital information. I told him I have not been to the pool and ordered a beer. He quickly learned that the previous customer to my room had his pool bill added to my account. Chateau Fairmont Whistler used to be one of the best stays in the world and definitely the most costly at Whistler.

Fabulous!

Wonderful king suite, great location to ski lifts in the upper village, excellent facilities: storing ski equipment, swimming pool, hot tubs and saunas, the hotel bar & restaurant. Will vacation again!
