Stayed Fairmont Gold - found the staff up there to be great. Friendly, courteous and helpful. Front desk staff were less so, always seemed to be bothering them. Biggest issue was that there was dried vomit on my bathroom floor. Had to call to have it cleaned up after checking in. This was pretty gross.
It was a good day, but the Hotel definitely needs a refresh. Although the rooms are clean, there were many things that needed some tweaking. My bathroom faucet leaked the entire time even though I asked housekeeping to take a look. The furniture was old, and the fact that there was two fridges in the room was a little odd. Why not just remove the fridge that didn’t work and replace it with the one that did.
Staff took great care of me during my stay, especially the business lounge
We were in Winnipeg for the Banjo Bowl football game - Winnipeg Blue Bombers vs Saskatchewan Roughriders. The front desk staff were very accommodating by taking our bags since our room wasn’t completely ready. Upon arrival in our room, we were greeted with complimentary waters and a delicious red velvet cake with “Welcome Back!” written in chocolate! Our previous stay was 41 years ago on our wedding night. All staff were happy and pleasant and wanted you to feel welcome and comfortable. Definitely would stay here again. Hopefully sooner than another 41 years!

As expected, however surprised I had to provide an email address, and spell it out, to the front desk on a very late check-in when I've stayed with your location a few times a year for 10 years. Advance bookings, should simply need a " information the same as last time, or email is still xx…? On next page regarding ALL - really not sure if I am enrolled in your loyalty program - so that marketing is missing it's mark with at least myself as one customer.

The main floor and restaurants are top-notch, and the rooms are average. The only issue I had worth mentioning was the presence sensor connected to the AC. This sensor is not advanced enough to detect when I was sleeping in the bed so I would wake up feeling quite hot. To fix this I would have to move around to get it going again. An alternate solution may be to use a unit where you are required to place your room card in a slot to keep it.
