The room and the staff were terrific, friendly and helpful. However, the hotel was fully booked and there was no hot water in the morning for a shower. The explanation was that the hotel was fully booked - which apparently means that the hot water system was not designed to keep up with a fully booked hotel. Terrible explanation, especially for a Fairmont hotel!
Climate controls in the room weren’t working and shower was warm at best - for the amount that I paid for one night, I expect more.
When I checked in, the heat in my room was off and the room was freezing. The room was ok through hit wish there was brighter lighting. The morning of the tradeshow had no hot water so I had to take a cold shower.
The room was very outdated. I was also located right under the fitness centre. People would start working out and dropping their weights on the floor at 5am until 11:30pm. My whole room would shake. The front desk did their best to fix this but I didn’t want to have to call down to complain every 20 mins.
First morning there, no hot water available for shower. My room did not have a fridge, but other room I booked for employee did have fridge. Was notified 1 day before checking that hot tub and pool were out of commission and being worked on. Large part of why I booked there was for pool and hot tub. Very poor that this wasn't explained ahead of time.
I Don't think this lives up to the fairmont name. No hotwater one morning, no alarm Clock and room felt not clean and dated.
Massive issue with this hotel. Elementary amenities that hotel business is based on and the reason why people pay to stay at hotels are missing. No hot water, room heater not working, loud buzzing noise all night from the walls in the bathroom making it impossible to sleep. I will never stay at Fairmont Winnipeg again. I am still not sure what I have paid you for since I could not sleep, could not shower and room was uncomfortable to stay in due to heater being broken....

Excellent
Usually I love Fairmont. I'm a gold member and it was the first time staying at this particular one. In short, here are the problems. Shower didn't work. TV connection worked half the time. The thermostat in the room was way off. Suddenly my key card wouldn't work. The standard laundry bag wasn't in the room. Aside from those issues...the staff were well mannered.
