Since 1992, Splash Dash has been bringing Winnipeg's riverways to the world.Scenic and historically informative half-hour tours of Winnipeg's downtown waterways leave The Forks harbour every 15 minutes from 10:00 am to sunset, seven days a week. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg events, independently organized by artists and organizations, are focused in three main zones: Downtown, The Exchange District, and St. Boniface. Every year, Nuit Blanche Winnipeg attracts thousands of people to the downtown area to celebrate and experience art. Nuit Blanche Winnipeg is supported by Culture Days Manitoba, a national 3-day celebration of art and culture. Free cultural events happen all across our province and one of the highlights of the weekend is Nuit Blanche Winnipeg, the all-night art party.

Children’s Museum

A fun family destination! Housed in the oldest surviving train repair facility in Manitoba, the Children’s Museum features 12 permanent galleries that spark creative learning. Visitors can hop aboard an authentic 1952 diesel locomotive and 1910 Pullman passenger coach, explore the five-storey tall Lasagna Lookout, test their perceptions in the giant Illusion Tunnel, perform water experiments in the Splash Lab, and much more. A toddler-exclusive space, Tot Spot serves the needs of the museum’s smallest visitors.

Manitoba Theatre for Young People has been creating and presenting professional, innovative theatre for young audiences since 1982. MTYP's artistry has been applauded not only as a theatre for young audiences, but also as an innovative and highly creative theatre company: "It's the best of world theatre for children... a remarkable organization..." (Robert Enright, CBC Radio). Located at The Forks in Winnipeg, MTYP's home is a 28,000 square foot performance facility featuring a fully re-configurable theatre, classroom studios, and production facilities.
