We’ve been a few times and always have a good time. Check in was speedy, valet service as nice as always, room was clean, the short ribs and sticky toffee pudding delicious. Our shower was having issues draining, and it would be nice to have an adults only hour in the pool.

It was amazing. I would stay there anytime and recommend it to everyone.
It was a very good stay, room was nice and had a great view.
When we arrived, we were told only room available was right next to elevator which would be noisy and we would have to pay more for another room. I am a light sleeper but decided to try it out. When we got into the room the sink was completely clogged, maintenance came to check it out but ultimately after waiting 2 hours and pausing our plans for the evening, we had to be moved as he was unable to unclog it. We also got disturbed multiple times as someone kept knocking on the door asking for measurements. I was pumping breastmilk when they came and told them to return in 30 min. They came in over an hour, at which point I already had a do not disturb me sign on as we wanted to nap. It was a conference trip away from our newborn and sleep was crucial. They proceeded to knock despite the sign, until they woke us up and we told them it is not a good time. The next day we got a call again during our nap about coming for measurements. It was very disruptive and we were unable to relax and get the sleep we needed. They could have easily coordinated these visits for measurements with cleaning staff to do it at the same time or wait till out checkout. So on all 3 nights, there were multiple disruptions.

the hotel decor and fittings are old, but clean and in good working order. I work in the event sector and this is actually praise as many hotels can't manage to even be clean. the bar fridge worked and was appreciated. the tv patch panel did not function or there where no instructions on how to run it, I assume its a legacy bit of tech. the elevator did try and kill me by self leveling then as soon as I tried to step on it lifted 6 inches and almost tripped me, but that's ancient elevators for you and I know how hard and cripplingly expensive it is to replace those.
