It was a pleasant and convenient stay except that it would be good to have a reminder of my booking as it was booked way in advance but I nearly forgotten about it.
My mum and I enjoyed our staycation here a lot. The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. I appreciated the prompt provision of the shower chair for my mum upon request and the general approachable service of the staff. Best of all, this hotel is so well connected to the malls and MRT station which makes it an extremely convenient location. We are glad we chose this hotel for our staycation.
Splurge on last night in Singapore. Staff were so obliging and helpful with timing, storing luggage and advice. The restaurant /bar near reception has excellent cuisine and the staff there are lovely too. The room was large and the bedding comfortable. The lounge an added bonus and the bathroom wonderful.

I must say the service was impeccable. Starting with front desk check in, Cheng Hai was most understanding and offered us a deal for an upgrade to the Ambassador Suite. It was certainly a treat, as it was our first time experiencing the suite. Unfortunately, through the first night the room lights were not working. Even though it was “Master off”, some lights kept coming on at random times, every few minutes or so, and it was extremely frustrating as we could not figure if it was a sensor that was triggering the lights. The closet light, the luggage area light and the overhead lights would come on and I would have to get up to open and close the closet, or turn on and off the room lights. Our rest was affected. The next day, some technicians came to fix the issue. However, after that, half the dining area lights could not be turned on. That posed some inconvenience as the room was very dim at night. The team brought us a standing light which helped marginally. The second night, the bedroom lights phenomenon repeated unfortunately. The duty manager Claudia was most helpful. She offered us breakfast and late checkout. We shared that we really liked the hotel and stay, just short of the technical issues that unfortunately caused some inconveniences and affected our rest. I would also like to acknowledge Simon from the lounge for his service. I was interested to view the lounge, and he brought me around. He was very knowledgeable and personal. That was one of the most memorable experiences and I really appreciated it. In short, despite the inconveniences, the staff’s personal and excellent service were what stood out to me, and I hope for another opportunity to return for another stay.
I stay at the Fairmont a few times a year for work and love the hotel. The staff are extremely friendly, in particular the lovely gentleman who greets you on the way into breakfast. The facilities are also great - a well stocked gym, two nice pools and decent food and drink options. Breakfast is fantastic with a huge range of options to suit all tastes. The hotel is also above Raffle City mall where there are many food options, a supermarket, pharmacy and other useful shops. My one issue with the hotel is around sustainability. As is normal, there is a sign in the bathroom about hanging towels if you don't want them to be changed and yet despite me following this and also mentioning to the front desk when I check in that I don't need my towels changed during my stay, every day they change them. This is unnecessary and wasteful in terms of environmental impact. The showers in some rooms are also level with the bathroom floor so the place ends up soaking wet after every shower - feel something simple could be done to resolve this.
