Jasper Star Gazer Astronomy Package
In 2011, Jasper National Park was officially designated as one of the World's Largest Dark Sky Preserves by the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada. At 11,228 square km, Jasper is the second largest Dark Sky Preserve in the world and the largest accessible one. In honour of this unique environmental designation, the town of Jasper, Alberta celebrates October as Dark Sky Month and hosts the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival - October 25-27, 2013. Mix and mingle with special guests Jay Ingram of Discovery Channel's Daily Planet, Astro Photographer Yuichi Takasaka, Comet Discoverer David Levy and Science Journalist Peter McMahon.
The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge invites you to discover the wonders of Jasper's pristine night sky with our Jasper Star Gazer Astronomy Package. You may even experience the magical Northern Lights as we are currently in a peak viewing cycle!
