Our stay was extremely pleasant. The staff were courteous, the housekeepers were efficient, the rooms were very clean, and the entire hotel was quite elegant. Valet parking was pricey but convenient. The location is top-notch, as we rarely had to wait more than a minute for an Uber and you are right next to the train station. My only complaint was that the iron pushed some rust stains into my white shirt. A small complaint from a very nice stay.

Friendly, accommodating and made me feel unlike any other hotel has made me feel which was welcomed, respected, and grateful for me to be their guest.
Perfect location to stay and watch the bluejays
We must give credit to Bailey from the hotel's Loyalty team. It was the first time since becoming a newly married couple that we were celebrating with Family. I happened to mention this in a note to the hotel as well as a preference for being located with a view and higher in the house. Well, the views from our room of Toronto's CN Tower were spectacular, and the hand-written card of congratulations accompanied by a wedge of delicious chocolate layer gateau was one of the best unexpected welcomes we have received. And of course, every one who works at the Royal York treated as the moniker implies... royally. Our extended weekend in Toronto to celebrate our marriage with family was made even more memorable thanks to the amazing room and the incredible staff - merci M. and Patrick
I came here for business with my family and we loved the hotel! Comfortable large rooms, great amenities and our baby really liked the pool!
Our stay was nice. The hotel is clean and busy. Food and beverage options were nice. The elevators were a bit finicky. We had to switch elevators several times because the selected floor would not stay lit. Many other guests had the same issue.
Extremely poorly set up for business in rooms. No power sockets on desk-only power socket was being used for lights clocks etc. Not USB portals, very old and tired.
While the hotel is well-located and connected (my primary for staying at the Fairmont Royal York), this most recent trip was marred by bad experiences. At check-in, the computer system was down which results in a 2 hour delay to check in. When I was finally able to check-in, my room did not have WiFi (this issue affected only my wing of the hotel) so I had to hotspot off my cell phone to be able to get some work done (as I was in Toronto for a business trip). The rooms, unfortunately, are old. I like a good traditional room, however, the bathrooms desperately need an updating and there was no water pressure. Finally, on my last morning and on my way to check-out, there was a man (I doubt he was a guest) with his pants half down in the elevator - security should have caught this. Overall, I can't say that this was a good stay at the Fairmont and I'm very disappointed given the price point.
My stay was excellent and I really appreciated that I could leave my bags while I attended the ODA ASM conference.
Weekend stay in Toronto and had interrupted sleep every night pretty much ruining the whole weekend. First night had drunk guests hanging out in the corridor. Second night had the hotel staff escorting another drunk guest back to their room with them shouting at them. Tried to phone reception, room phone didn’t work. Didn’t really appreciate heading to reception in my nightwear at 4am.
