Fantastic experience.
As a frequent travelling family we stayed, for the first time – 3 weeks, at the Fairmont in Ajman. It was a bit of a challenge because, over the past 20 years, we spent around 2x4 weeks/year at a 5-star resort nearby and our children really considered that place as their 2nd home.
When we arrived at the Fairmont Ajman, in the middle of the night, we were welcomed by friendly receptionists and the check-in procedure went super-fast. We reserved two connecting rooms, called “family room”, for our stay. The rooms were connected by a double door and had a combined surface of around 80 sq. meters, and two spacious balconies. The rooms were PERFECT! Well equipped, bright, with super comfortable beds, a large bathtub, a walk-in shower, a separate toilet, large wardrobes, good lighting, multimedia… etc. We could have easily spent 3 months, instead of only 3weeks, in those rooms.
From the first morning until the last, we were greeted by friendly staff and guided to our breakfast table. We preferred a table outside where we could hear the birds singing & chirping, with the noise of the waves in the background. The breakfast buffet was “complete”! Well presented, tasty, fresh and it definitely offered enough choices for everyone’s taste.
The pool and beach areas are ideal for a tranquil and relaxing stay. There is absolutely NOTHING to worry about while enjoying the sun near the pool or on the private beach. You just know that EVERYTHING is ALRIGHT! That your kids are well entertained and protected by a team of highly trained, professional and, at the same time, very friendly Life-Guards. That you are laying on comfortable sun-beds. That you can order a good selection of quality drinks and food and that there is a skilled team of entertainers offering some calorie-burning-, as well as meditating activities….
Talking about “burning calories”: The GYM! The Gym is beautiful, very well equipped and never too busy. In the luxury and perfectly clean changing rooms there are Saunas (24/hours – 85 degrees C.) and Hammam/Steam baths.
Next to the Gym there is the SPA. Unfortunately, we didn’t find the time to enjoy one of the many treatments. But, from what we’ve seen from the outside, it really looks like a place where “relaxation” is an understatement.
Dinner at the Buffet restaurant is like a culinary journey around the globe. All kinds of food are well presented on different “islands”. From France, over Italy to the Middle East, India & the Far East…
The selection is enormous and the many different cooks are permanently following-up and making sure that everything remains available, fresh & tasty.
Besides the Buffet & the Pool-bar/restaurant, there is also an Italian- and a Turkish Restaurant.
The traditional Turkish restaurant has a very authentic interior and the Italian offered us, besides tasty Italian food, a good vibe! Especially while dining outside, on the terrace…
It’s difficult to name individuals who made our stay “special”. This because we weren’t able to find someone who made it less special!
It was a unique experience to see and to feel a VERY WELL MANAGED HOTEL, with an exceptional team of extremely motivated and dedicated people who are working hard, around the clock, to ensure that all guests are having a good time and are feeling at HOME!
For the four of us, there is no doubt. We will become FREQUENT GUESTS and we can only hope that everything remains, as it is…..
