CYCLE THE RESORT
Explore the woodlands of the Kildare countryside by bike during your stay. There are 9km of scenic cycling trails throughout the 1,100 acre estate at Carton House - ideal for cycling holidays in Ireland, leisurely cycles, off track or some exciting mountain biking. An ideal solo or family excursion, see nature at it's finest and keep your eyes peeled for rare bird species.
Bring your own bike and store them securely in our bike storage lockers. If you wish to travel lighter, bikes are available for residents from hotel reception.
CYCLE THE GREENWAY
Ideally located at the beginning of the new Royal Canal Greenway the enchanting 130km of level towpath starts in Maynooth and follows the 200 year old canal through Enfield and Mullingar to Cloondara in Longford, with cafés, picnic spots and attractions along the way. Cyclists, walkers and runners will enjoy passing leafy parkland and industrial landscapes, with rolling fields, picturesque riverside villages, working locks and historic landmarks. With the option to cycle between the main towns and return by train to where you started.
