We are proud to be 2008 USTA Northern California Organization of the Year and 2011 USPTA Nor Cal Division Facility of the Year.

Tennis anyone? Our Tennis Center, featuring ten courts, including six lit for night play, offers lessons and leagues for all ages and levels of experience. Tennis Courts require advanced reservations by calling 510-549-8517 after 8:30am one day prior to requested date. Additional fees for court and machine rentals will also be disclosed upon reserving.

The Claremont Interclub teams participate in several leagues in the East Bay.

Private Lesson Rates

  • Tennis Professionals : $90 - 125 per hour
  • Semi-private (two people), and group lessons available

Group Lessons

We keep our group lessons appropriately sized so you can enjoy great instruction in a small group setting. Group lessons are designed to cover basic fundamental stroke production, strategy and game situation drilling for the level of the participants.

Tournaments

Tournament Schedule for USTA Sanctioned Events:

Red and Orange: Ages 5 to 10
Monday - Thursday from 4:00 pm - 5:10 pm
Focus on developing hand-eye coordination through Tennis related games, basic stroke production, and short court tennis. Fun and the enjoyment of tennis is our first priorty. Children participating have general understanding of the game. Gross motor skills are still developing and the child would like to improve his/her athletic ability and develop skills further. Emphasis will be on the fundamental including rules, sportsmanship, etiquette, proper technique and consistency in hitting the ball.

Green and Yellow Ball: Ages 10 to 15
Monday- Thursday from 4:00 - 6:30 pm
Beginners to advanced players are welcome. Students will be placed into groups according to their skill level using the Grips program. We welcome your child to come and enjoy an exciting week of fun and healthy exercise! Camp will involve kids in tennis-related drill games and activities while focusing on increased stroke production, consistency and match play.

East Bay Junior League

A team of Junior tennis players play against various clubs in the East Bay Area. This is a great way for your intermediate player to enjoy some fun, competitive tennis and meet other tennis players from the area. For more information about East Bay Junior League, call (510) 549-8517 ext. 852.

Junior Tennis Academy

Monday - Thursday from 4:00 - 6:30 pm

The Academy is open to Juniors ages 8 and above, of tournament level of play, current or aspiring high school players, and players with a USTA sectional, national or ITF ranking. Players will be grouped by age and/or ability. This program includes technical training, strategy and tactics, strength and conditioning, video analysis and mental toughness. We will be available to consult parents and players on ways they can continue to improve their game outside the academy. Junior Tennis Camps

Offered during seasonal school breaks such as Summer, Winter, President's week and Spring breaks.
