Finally, al fresco weather in Boston! OAK Long Bar + Kitchen’s coveted patio on St. James Ave is now open seven days a week from 4 to 8 p.m. A mix of high-tops, lounge seating and picnic tables offer a relaxed vibe in the heart of Copley Square. $1 Oyster Happy Hour is daily from 4 to 5 p.m.

New this year is OAK’s “Craft in a Can” pop-up series spotlighting three New England breweries on rotation through the end of the outdoor season. During each brewery’s residency, the patio beer menu will exclusively offer a featured selection of their canned beers, starting with Mighty Squirrel (Waltham, MA). The opening beer list from Mighty Squirrel will be available through mid-June and includes: Cosmic Distortion, Dear George, Cloud Candy, Strawberry Smoovy and Sour Face. Down The Road (Everett, MA) cans will be served mid-June through August, followed by the return of Zero Gravity (Burlington, VT) in September and October to celebrate OAKtoberfest.

Drink options in addition to local beer:


  • Bottled Cocktails are back with classic varieties available: a Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Old-Fashioned and Mai Tai ($12 each).
  • A hit from last summer, Boozy Freeze Pops return with two playful cocktail flavors: Bourbon Strawberry Basil and Ghost Pepper Pineapple Margarita ($7 each).
  • A Frozen Drink special will rotate through the summer for the ultimate cool down ($12). Expect Frosé, Banana Daiquiris and Painkillers.
  • Plenty of quality canned wines to crack open and wind down the day, from rosés and whites to sparkling Lambrusco and chilled pinot noir.
Beyond oysters, a selection of food favorites from the OAK kitchen will be available to accompany drinks, including OAK’s signature lobster roll and wagyu chuck burger, three types of pizza (bianco, margherita, calabrese), crab & avocado toast, pretzel bites, a local cheese plate and more.
