    • Once off ramp follow 'Jebel Al, Abu Dhabi' sign.
    • Proceed over the Al Garhoud Bridge.
    • Follow 'Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi' sign until you pass through a short tunnel.
    • After tunnel follow the 'Trade Center sign.
    • Move to right hand lane, follow 'Trade Center sign.
    • Proceed onto roundabout in center lane.
    • Take 'Jebel Ali, Abu Dhabi' exit off roundabout.
    • Take first right exit (do not go back onto highway).
    • Fairmont Dubai is on your right hand side.
    • Out of hotel driveway turn right at first corner.
    • Proceed straight and turn right at first corner.
    • Proceed straight, stay in the right hand lane.
    • Through the signal light and onto the round-a-bout.
    • Take the 'Sheikh Zayed Road' exit off the round-a-bout (with Airplane symbol).
    • Proceed straight and keep following the Airplane symbol.
    • Proceed over the Al Garhoud Bridge.
    • Take the first exit off the bridge (number 58).
    • Follow 'Al Garhoud' sign.
    • Turn right at Airport symbol 'Al Khawaneej' sign.
    • Follow Terminal 1 sign.
    • Follow signs to Arrivals or Departures.
    • Out of hotel driveway turn right at first corner.
    • Proceed straight and turn right at first corner.
    • Proceed straight, stay in the right hand lane.
    • Through the signal light and onto the roundabout.
    • Take the 'Airport' exit off the roundabout.
    • Proceed straight and follow the 'Al Maktoum Bridge' sign.
    • Proceed over the Al Maktoum Bridge stay in the right lane.

Underwhelming

The general experience was not as expected, I've had better overall service in less well rated hotels. The breakfast room is too small for the amount of guests resulting in unreasonable waiting time during parts of the morning. The quality of the breakfast itself (choice and tastes) was also quite poor. My friend used the laundry service that was extremely delayed, meaning he didn't get his clothes when he needed them, and there was no apologies or compensation whatsoever. The elevators, despite being so many, take a very long time to arrive when called and then stop at every floor. It is always a surprise how long going up or down will take.

No attention to quality or customer service

- I arrived and my reservation hadn't been done even though I had all the emails to confirm. I did not have a room. It's the second time it happes. - My room smelled bad, the linen smelled horrible - I could not connect for most of my first day and IT would never turn up. WHen I finally managed, I called the front desk to tell them not to send IT, and 20mn later, IT showed up. - The phones in the room were not working most of the time. - I was advised to take a hotel taxi to go to my destination. It was a 2-stop ride but the taxi decided to leave me at the first stop, he said he got a booking that he wanted to take. - Very few options in the room service menu for vegetarians.

Good stay

The hotel is lovely and the staff are very nice and friendly. The location of the hotel is great and the metro was in front of hotel. The breakfast is average and the location of breakfast was dark and sometimes noisy. But overall stay was good and I recommend this hotel.

Good location

I started in fairmont during my work travel for a week. Everything went well except for the fact that there was a small smoking smell in my room even though it was non-smoking room. They would probably change me room, I am sure about it, but i didn't want to create a problem out of it.
