Make-A-Wish creates life-changing Wishes for children with critical illnesses. The first Wish was granted in 1980 to Chris Greicius who wished to be a police officer. His Wish inspired the creation of Make-A-Wish which is now the world’s leading children’s Wish-granting organization, granting more than 615,000 Wishes in nearly 50 countries worldwide. Make-A-Wish delivers hope and joy to children and their families when they need it most.
For over two decades Fairmont properties have been homes to creating life-changing memories. Fairmont originally initiated a program called Room at the Inn in 1993, offering complimentary room nights at its hotels across Canada, to families visiting loved ones in the hospital. This inspired a connection with Make-A-Wish and Fairmont Rooms From the Heart.
