Not to be confused with that cane carrying writer of New York fame, this Tom Wolfe is a legend in his own right, America’s first concierge. Introduced to the art of hospitality by his high-flying parents, Wolfe got his start in Washington, DC before heading across the pond to England, and later Paris, learning his craft in the halls of the finest European hotels. Returning stateside, he introduced himself at Fairmont San Francisco, where he set about introducing America to the fine art of taking special care of each and every guest, building a rapport and creating indelible moments through deep expertise and anticipatory zeal. When he’s not cultivating these special moments, Wolfe can be found exploring the farthest reaches of the city on foot or motorcycle, seeking out new and novel destinations for his guests’ surprise and delight. Tom has been making special happen since day one, and inspiring this special spirit in the next generation.
