Great room. Super view. Enjoyed drinks and food. Excellent service.
Nice building but the windows are old and do not seal very well and noise comes through. Especially if you face Jasper Ave

We were given an upgrade to a river valley view - complimentary, and upon arrival to our room, were grateful to enjoy dessert and a handwritten note, helping us to celebrate our 25th! Wonderful stay!

Booked a two bedroom suite. Great check in all was good BUT the "King" bed was a murphy bed and the mattress on it was completely unacceptable. My wife and daughter slept on it and she had back pains the entire next day. It was comparable to a bad pull out sofa. Not even close to what we are a custom to or expecting. I am a platinum member of Accor and this was totally unacceptable for Fairmont standards. Room 600

I was expecting a 9 out of 10 experience based on being at the hotel about 5 years ago. Sadly this most classic Canadian icon rates a 7 only. Avoid room 517 if you are not a very very sound sleeper. Constant buzzing noise heard in the room all the time. Front desk area is very noisy, even with only one couple standing next to me. The voice resonates and amplifies from the high ceiling and cavernous like lobby. i could not hear the lady at the desk speaking to me because of this. I had to ask her to speak up at least 3 times, as she attempted to print out a walking route. Restaurant, terrace and Harvest room for breakfast had excellent service and food. Prices were off the charts however. The Macdonald Fairmont needs some polish and I would personally prefer more historical photos and paintings in the hallways on each floor rather than the basement. Fairmont should be proud of this grand old lady!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Macdonald. The hotel itself is gorgeous. The staff was professionally friendly with great service. We had unexpectedly warm weather and enjoyed the lawn chairs overlooking the river.

It was my 50 bday and I was upgraded to the Queens suite without asking. I had years in my eyes. Everyone was amazing and treated us so well, including the staff who helped us with our bags, valet, front desk, the gold/premium lounge. Everyone was wonderful.
