The service was really poor when we had the breakfast; waited for coffee for 20 mins, and didn’t come. We kindly asked the bed to be changed to our receptionist, he said “Ok” but nothing changed…

Reached Montreux by boat, left at Port de Basset. Welcoming check-in to discover that one of the two rooms had been upgraded. Rooms in perfect conditions. Evening and night at concerts. Good beds for a good sleep. By 10 AM, probably the best breakfast on lake Leman. On the terrace, with friends. Very attentive and friendly staff. Check-out with a smile and a short walk to the port. How to enjoy better the lake, the festival and your hotel ?

We had one of the best suites that faces, the lake, and waking up every morning was a breath of fresh air. The room was beautifully appointed and immaculate. The overall staff from valet to concierge were professional and helpful. We would definitely come back at this historical and well-kept gem.

From the moment of our arrival to departure 5 days later, the service was undeniably the best we have ever experienced. The only reason I gave a rating of 9 vs 10 was the shower in the room was unsatisfactory.

Located at a walking distance from most of Montreux (tiny town anyway), the Fairmont is a nice hotel with a homey feel to it. Rooms are spacious and clean, although they could use some facelift (paint doors, add USB plugs, etc.). The Spa is amazing, with a big indoor pool and an outdoor pool. The staff is super friendly and courteous. The indoor pool was supposed to be heated but it was still freezing. But I guess it's us!! We didn't go into the restaurants, they seemed quite pricey, especially Lematine, the Lebanese one. Appetizers (labneh, hummus, etc) run at $20+. I'm part Lebanese and I know that those dishes are pretty basic. Overall though, I highly recommend the Fairmont Le Montreux Palace. You will basically have no major complaints. Only minor stuff that doesn't alter your pleasant experience.

Excellent service at reception; however, quality of food did not meet expectations of the house; toilet flush in the hotel room was not repaired. The drain in the sink in the hotel room could not be opened. Staff in the restaurant seemed stressed and not service oriented on several occasions. In total: a top employee at the reception cannot tear out the overall experience.
